Information We Collect

When you use Segonomics, we collect information you provide directly, including your name, email address, phone number, and property details (address, purchase price, photos, and documents) submitted for your cost segregation study or instant estimate. We also collect standard web analytics data such as pages visited, browser type, and IP address.

How We Use Your Information

We use the information you provide to prepare your cost segregation report or estimate, communicate with you about your order, respond to support inquiries, and improve our services. We do not sell your personal information.

Cookies, Analytics, and Advertising

We use cookies and similar technologies for site functionality, analytics, and advertising. This includes Google analytics tags (loaded through Google Tag Manager) to measure site traffic, and the Meta Pixel, which shares limited usage data with Meta so we can measure and show relevant ads on Meta platforms. Under some state privacy laws, this pixel-based advertising may be considered "sharing" of personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.

You can opt out of this advertising use at any time: manage cookies in your browser settings, adjust your ad preferences in your Meta account, or email us at support@segonomics.com and we will honor your opt-out.

Third-Party Services

We rely on a small set of service providers to operate: Stripe for payment processing (we never see or store your full card number), SendGrid for email, Zoho for customer relationship management, and Google Cloud for hosting and secure storage of your property information and reports. Each provider processes your data only to perform its service for us.

AI-Assisted Estimates

Our instant estimate calculator uses artificial intelligence. When you use it, the property address and details you enter are processed by our AI provider (currently OpenAI) on our behalf to generate the estimate. The provider does not use data submitted through our service to train its models. Estimates are informational only and are not a substitute for a completed cost segregation study.

Sharing With Your Advisors

If your study was ordered through your CPA or another professional advisor, we share order status and the completed report with that advisor. We also share information when required by law or to protect our legal rights.

Data Retention

We retain your property information and completed report for a minimum of 7 years to support any audit protection requests. You may request deletion of your data at any time by contacting us, subject to our legal obligations.

Security

We use industry-standard security practices to protect your information, including encryption in transit and access controls. However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Your Privacy Rights

Depending on your state of residence, you may have the right to access the personal data we hold about you, request correction or deletion, and opt out of targeted advertising. California residents have these rights under the CCPA/CPRA. To exercise any of these rights, email support@segonomics.com. We may verify your identity before fulfilling a request, and we will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights.

Children's Privacy

Our services are intended for adults and are not directed to anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from minors, and we will delete any such information we discover.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The current version will always be posted on this page with an updated date. If we make material changes, we will note them here and, where appropriate, notify you by email.
